Legendary country music star breaks neck after Nashville fall

  • Country music star Ray Stevens is recovering at home in Nashville after breaking his neck in a fall on 29 March.
  • The 87-year-old Grammy-winning artist was briefly hospitalised and is now required to wear a neck brace for four weeks, though he remains mobile and in good spirits.
  • Stevens is set to release his new album, Favorites Old & New, this Friday on Curb Records.
  • Last year, Stevens suffered a “mild” heart attack on 4 July, which led to minimally-invasive heart surgery.
  • Following his heart attack, Stevens announced he would be selling his CabaRay Showroom in Nashville in August 2025, citing his age and health concerns.
