A legal bid to cancel a Dumfries care home’s registration has been continued.
The Care Inspectorate made the application to the sheriff court amid concerns over the care provided at Dalawoodie House Nursing Home at Newbridge.
But at yesterday’s hearing the case was continued, on a joint motion, for further discussions between both parties until October 27.
The Care Inspectorate launched the legal action after highlighting “serious and significant concerns” over the standard of care at the home.
They issued an improvement notice on Dalawoodie House on June 23 requiring “safe and effective management, leadership and oversight of the care home and improved working practices and care of people in the home.”
Meanwhile, Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership has provided extra staff to help look after the 26 residents.
