Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has scored a stunning goal for Morocco in their pre-World Cup friendly for Morocco against Georgia as they prepare for the tournament. The forward picked up on a loose pass in midfield, spotting the opposition goalkeeper off his line before striking it from behind the halfway line to loop it into the net.
It doubled his side's lead and the video got plenty of attention, being compared to similar strikes scored by David Beckham and Wayne Rooney from the halfway line. It comes as the Chelsea midfielder struggles to make his way into the first-team on club level, but eyes glory for his nation.
Morocco are one of five African teams heading to Qatar for the tournament, though their competition won't start until next Wednesday against Croatia. While some sides are in action sooner and preparing for the tournament, they are able to play a pre-match friendly and Ziyech's goal within it has earned plenty of praise from fans on social media.
