'NEVER again'
'So we live near cross gates thought we would try and see what our local Wetherspoons was like Monday night around 7.30 about 10 people in scattered about the place had no atmosphere didn’t feel very clean we ordered drinks which considering hardly anyone in took 10 mins to be delivered we then ordered food not bad for the price but nothing amazing then we were informed at 8.30 we had to be gone by 9.00 as our boy was only 16 I could understand if young child and been noisy but really !!
So thanks local Wetherspoon but NEVER again.'
'Poor'
'Poor service some staff show no interest at all. Food is terrible. Cold breakfast and poor quality. No atmosphere at all just dark and dingy.'
'Avoid at all costs'
'Terrible food and service. Firstly drinks took ages to arrive via the app, it would have been quicker to go to the bar . We ordered food and when it eventually arrived it was only for two of our party and it was clap cold!
'That got sent back and while that was getting sorted, the pizza and steak arrived for the other two of our party . The steak was supposed to be medium but it was hardly cooked at all, was bleeding and looked raw. That got sent back.
'This left one of us out of the four eating alone as three meals got sent back . When the steak order eventually came back, the steak had been re-cooked, put back on the same plate with the original half eaten food which was now cold !!
'The manager was called and we asked for another fresh replacement. While the steak fiasco was going on, the other two replacement meals arrived and although not cold , were not exactly warm . We won’t be going there again. I dread to think what was going on in that kitchen . Avoid at all costs !'
'Don't bother'
'Great place for a "spoons" been years in coming but now its here its a let down. Too many poorly trained staff and poor food. Ordered a medium steak but it wasn't cooked so sent it back, when it came back after 10 minutes it was the same plate same steak and same half eaten onion ring.
'They just cooked the steak for another few minutes and sent back cold food and dry steak. Spoke to management who got a new plate of food that was okay but everyone else had finished their food.
'Don't try complaining to Wetherspoon though, I don't think they have any systems. Lots of other pubs that are really good nearby, what a let down.'
'No social distancing or face masks'
'The staff were really nice but as for social distance there isn't any. You just walk in and out as normal with no face masks on and there is no 2 meters distance. I won't be going back in there until the pandemic is over with.'

'Dirty'
'Visited here 11/08 at 5.00 pm . Looked so forward to visiting here as it’s local and have always enjoyed visiting Wetherspoons up an down the country in UK. Sat at table 30 and noticed it was strewn with food and debris. The chairs had to be wiped down as they were so dirty before we even sat down.
'Ordered food and when it arrived my friends had to be sent back as she couldn’t even cut the chicken so called melt and had to send it back. My food also was tough as old boots but was so hungry decided to tackle mine and eat it.
'Went to disabled toilets and was disgusted at all water and rubbish all over floor. Don’t know who the Manager is here but they need to get their act together, as it’s the dirtiest Wetherspoons we have encountered all over Britain. With this COVID-19 things have to be clean .'
