Motherwell have announced the signing of Leeds United winger Stuart McKinstry on loan.
The 19-year-old returns to Fir Park, where he was an academy graduate, on a season long deal.
It is the first signing made by new boss Steven Hammell since he was official handed the job last week and sees him link-up with a player he brought through the academy earlier in his career.
Hammell said: “I’ve worked with Stuart before and know exactly what he is capable of.
“He has progressed in his time down south and having the experience of being in and around the first-team has been beneficial for him.
“He is an excellent addition to the squad and I look forward to seeing what he produces this season.”
Winger McKinstry has spent three years at Elland Road since leaving Lanarkshire in the summer of 2019.
He has made just two first team appearances for United but was a regular for the club;s under-23s team.
It is the club's fifth summer signing following the arrivals of midfielders Josh Morris and Blair Spittal, right-back Paul McGinn and goalkeeper Aaron Oxborough, who officially joined last week after being signed by Graham Alexander.
