Leeds United transfer rumours with £100m relegation claim amid Adams, Gnonto and Meslier links

Here are your latest Leeds United transfer rumours for May 20.

£100m sales?

Leeds United's top-flight status remains in serious doubt with just two matches remaining. By the time Sam Allardyce's side kick-off at the London Stadium, they will know whether defeat to West Ham will condemn them to relegation or not.

Dropping down to the Championship is an eventuality the Whites have somewhat prepared for, with the Telegraph detailing every player has a wage-drop clause reducing their salaries by as much as 60% in the event of demotion. However, player sales will be inevitable and the report outlines how the Whites could be set to bank in excess of £100 million.

Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams, Patrick Bamford, Wilfried Gnonto and Ilan Meslier are the first-team stars listed as potential saleable assets.

Kristensen's 'dream'

Rasmus Kristensen has endured a difficult debut season at Elland Road thus far, although the summer signing did help the Whites secure a draw with Newcastle United courtesy of a deflected strike. The 25-year-old has been moved to the centre of defence in recent weeks, and has now spoken of his desire to one day play again for his boyhood club FC Midtjylland.

He told the club's website: "I will hopefully come home to Midtjylland, if I’m still welcome at that time. I have always had a dream to come back.

"Ever since I moved to Ajax, I have always thought one day I will end up at FCM. It’s something I’ve never hidden.”
