The Swedish forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Leeds United and Everton among others being credited with an interest.
Coventry currently sit eighth in the Championship and are three points adrift of the play-offs. Gyokeres, who has scored 18 goals and registered eight assists this term, wants to achieve his dream of playing in the top-flight with the Sky Blues.
"It has gone well and felt good for myself. I have scored some goals and assists and we have won most of the games," Gyokeres told Swedish outlet Aftonbladet.
He added: “It is clear that you want to play in the best leagues. But you have to take that after the season. Now I just try to focus on Coventry and try to go up with them.
"But it is clear that you are aiming higher. It is clear that it would have been fun to play there [in the Premier League], but I don’t think about it too much. I can play in some other leagues too.”
Leeds linked with highly-rated teenager Filip Skob
Leeds United have joined Rangers and Newcastle United in the race to sign highly-rated forward Filip Skorb, according to the Daily Record.
Skorb currently plays for Edinburgh-based side Portobelloe CFA Thistle, and has attracted interest from a number of British clubs.
And Portobelloe confirmed that the teenager had a trial with Leeds last month, writing: "Good luck to U15 Fillip Skorb who embarks on a few days trial with Leeds United, great reports so far where he has showed up well during training in preparation for his game with the Leeds United U16 Squad.
"It proves to be a busy year with many English clubs looking to secure this young man's signature. The Porty pathway to the EPL with some great partnerships on the horizon."
The youngster is also reportedly set to visit Newcastle in the coming weeks, while it has been suggested that he will feature for Rangers as a trialist in a tournament against Manchester United this weekend.
