Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites reportedly in race for Chelsea striker and Blackburn defender

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Friday, 28 January 2022.

Leeds in Broja race

Leeds United are among a host of clubs interested in signing Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to TeamTalk.

Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also joined the race for Broja alongside Southampton, where he is currently enjoying a successful loan spell.

Southampton have already reportedly submitted a £25 million bid for the 20-year-old as they look to convert his move to St. Mary’s into a permanent one as soon as possible.

Leeds have already had a taste of what Broja is all about this season, as he scored the winner for the Saints when the two sides met earlier this season.

Leeds keen on Lenihan

Leeds United are reportedly one of five teams interested in signing Blackburn Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan.

That is according to TeamTalk, who claim that Newcastle United, Everton, Aston Villa and Wolves are also keen on the 27-year-old.

Lenihan is out of contract at Ewood Park at the end of the season and has his eyes set on playing Premier League football next season, whether that is at Blackburn or elsewhere.

It is thought that he would be happy to sign a new deal with Rovers if they are promoted, which is a distinct possibility as they sit second in the Championship.

Rodrigo offered to Barcelona

Leeds United forward Rodrigo Moreno is reportedly one of a number of attackers to have been offered to Barcelona.

That is according to Mundo Deportivo, via Inside Futbol, who claim that Rodrigo is looking for a bigger role away from Leeds ahead of the World Cup later this year.

The 30-year-old is said to be unsure if he will make the Spain if he continues at Leeds, as he has netted just two goals so far this season.

Leeds reportedly rejected a loan bid from Barcelona in the summer for Rodrigo, but it remains to be seen how his future will unfold before the end of the current window, particularly if the Whites are struggling to bring in any incomings of their own.
