Here is the latest Leeds United transfer rumours and gossip on Saturday, February, 25.
Leeds United plotting summer swoop for Championship star as price tag confirmed
Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window according to Football Insider.
The Swedish striker has finally had a price tag put on him by the Sky Blues, with the 24-year-old forward set to cost between £10-£12 million, a price certainly in the budget of a club like the Whites.
After showing interest in Gyokeres over the January window, Leeds are reportedly still prepared to go after him despite the £35 million signing of Georginio Rutter in the winter.
The star has scored 15 times in all competitions for Coventry this season, with 14 of those coming league matches - second only to Middlesbrough's Chuba Akpom.
Gyokeres also has 11 senior caps for the Swedish national team, but has almost 40 caps across all levels of international play for his country.
Barcelona ‘rejected’ huge Raphinha offer from Arsenal six months after Leeds United exit
Barcelona snubbed a £70million offer from Arsenal for Raphinha last month, according to Spanish outlet Sport1. The Gunners later signed Brighton winger Leandro Trossard to bolster their attacking options.
Leeds United only cashed in on the Brazilian seven months ago, raking in a tidy £40million profit on a player signed from Rennes two years earlier. Raphinha had developed into one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents despite the Whites’ on-field struggles.
Bagging 11 goals helped Leeds survive top-flight relegation last season but, throughout the campaign, talk of a possible move refused to go away. La Liga giants Barcelona eventually lured the winger to the Camp Nou for around £58million.
