Empoli president insists Fabiano Parisi not for sale amid Leeds United interest
Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi has insisted reported Leeds United 'target' Fabiano Parisi will not be sold in the January window. Parisi’s agent Mario Giuffredi claimed that Leeds, Nice and several Serie A clubs showed and interest in the Italy U21 international during the recent summer transfer window.
However, Parisi was happy to go along with Empoli’s demands and continue his development at the Italian side. In August, Parisi then decided to put pen-to-paper on a new deal until 2025, but agent Giuffredi has already hinted it won’t be long until he is on the move.
Giuffredi told Tuttomercatoweb : “I consider him a great team player. He can be the transfer man for January or for (next) summer. He’s (a player) of the highest standards.
“He can aspire to important goals. We had many clubs (showing an interest); from Atalanta to Torino to Fiorentina, Leeds and Nice. In agreement with Empoli we decided to wait.”
