Leeds United transfer rumours as Southampton eye Jesse Marsch as Ralph Hasenhuttl replacement

Here are your Leeds United transfer rumours on Sunday 9 October.

Jesse Marsch linked with potential Southampton job

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has been linked with Southampton as Ralph Hasenhuttl's job hangs in the balance.

The Times report both Marsch and Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper are on the Saints shortlist should they sack Hasenhuttl, who is said to have two games to save his job.

With Cooper having just recently signed a new deal with Forest, a move to St Mary's looks to be off the cards for him, which could prompt Southampton to reach out to Marsch.

Compensation would be required to land the American coach who arrived at Elland Road in February and there is no indication whether or not Southampton's owners would cough up the cash required.

Leeds United tracking Rangers starlet Jack Wylie

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing 15-year-old defender Jack Wylie from Rangers.

The teenager has impressed this term for Rangers youth sides as well as for Scotland U16s.

According to Football Insider, Leeds and Arsenal are both said to be keen on landing Wylie, who would not be able to sign a professional deal until he turns 16 in January.

Given the Whites' propensity to target youngsters with a high upside, a move for Wylie would certainly fit their transfer model.
