“This would be a really exciting signing for somebody like Leeds," Jones told GIVEMESPORT.
"They’re definitely scouting him closely during the international break.”
Ex-Leeds 'keeper Nigel Martyn believes Whites can keep ahold of Jack Harrison
Ex-England international goalkeeper Nigel Martyn believes Leeds United have the power to keep hold of star winger Jack Harrison.
Harrison was subject to plenty of interest from around the Premier League during the summer transfer window, with Newcastle United heavily linked with a move for the Whites winger.
No move emerged however for Harrison who remained at Leeds. And former Whites keeper Martyn believes Leeds will be able to convince Harrison to remain at Elland Road if they can meet three targets.
"He’s a goal threat as well as creating lots of chances," Martyn told The Express.
"He’s started this season really, really well, with lots of assists and again comes up with important goals too. He’ll be wanting to and trying to make a late run at the England squad if he can.
"In terms of keeping him, that will depend on how happy he is. If he’s happy, Leeds’ results are good and he’s starting nearly every game then I think he’ll be happy to stay.
"Obviously Newcastle, financially, have got a lot of money so they can turn his head financially. But hopefully he loves playing for Leeds enough that he doesn’t need to make the move."
