Leeds United transfer rumours as Ollie Watkins linked and Manchester United keen on Tyler Adams

Here is your Leeds United transfer gossip and rumours on Saturday, October 29.

Villa's Watkins could be on his way to Elland Road

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins could be on his way to Elland Road as Leeds United look to strengthen their front line, according to teamtalk.com. The striker - bought from Brentford for £28m three years ago - could be a target for the upcoming transfer window.

Watkins marked his first season in the top flight with 14 goals and followed up last season with another 11. However, this season he's found goals harder to come by - scoring just twice in 12 games.

However, he will hope to score more frequently having took the final goal in last weekend's 4-0 win over his former club in the first game since Steven Gerrard was relieved of his duties. Leeds were linked with Watkins in 2020 upon their return to the Premier League, but their interest ended after signing Rodrigo Moreno.

The 26-year-old made his England debut last year and has seven caps to date. The first of his two international goals came in a 5-0 World Cup qualifying win over San Marino, before hitting his second against Ivory Coast in a 3-0 friendly victory.

Manchester United keen on bringing Tyler Adams to Old Trafford

Tyler Adams could be moving across the Pennines to Manchester United despite his recent arrival at Elland Road, according to Football Insider. Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is said to be keeping close tab on the midfielder.

The 23-year-old - who only joined Leeds from RB Leipzig this summer - will be hoping to head to a first World Cup this winter with the USA and has 32 caps to his name.

Signing Adams would see ten Hag's continued renovation of the United midfield following the summer arrivals of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro. However, the Old Trafford side have previously said they won't be spending big in January and Leeds will be unwilling to let Adams go on the cheap.
