Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Sunday, January 23.
Vedat Muriqi 'boost'
Leeds have been reportedly handed a boost in their mooted outside pursuit of Lazio striker Vedat Muriqi.
Championship side Hull City were said to be interested but Corriere dello Sport now says that the Tigers have backed down in the race for the 27-year-old.
The club have recently been taken over by new owners and with it most likely a shift in transfer direction.
West Brom still have Muriqi - who would cost around £8.5m according to Corriere della Sera - on their radar too.
This news comes on the back of first-choice striker Patrick Bamford picking up a fresh injury.
Muriqi has played a bit-part in Lazio’s season, with all but one of his 11 Serie A appearances this season coming from the bench.
He’s failed to score in 15 games across all competitions, albeit has grabbed a league assist.
Muriqi has not played a Serie A match since December 17, playing just 71 minutes of action in the Coppa Italia since.
The Kosovo international has netted 18 times in 37 caps and is very much a key player in his country’s national squad.
Newcastle join race for Nandez
Meanwhile, the future of Nahitan Nandez continues to be debated in the Italian media, after a number of outlets linked the winger to Leeds United.
Newly minted Newcastle United are the latest side to be linked with the 26-year-old, following reports that Tottenham were also keen on him.
But it seems Newcastle have gone a step further with Italian outlet Tuttosport claiming the Magpies have made initial contact with the relegation-threatened Serie A club over a potential transfer.
Prior to his switch to Italy, Nandez won two domestic titles with homeland club Penarol before lifting the Argentinian title with Boca Juniors in 2018.
Noa Lang encourgaement
Finally, Belgian news outlet Het Belang van Limburg (via Sport Witness ) moot that Noa Lang of Club Brugge would be interested in a move to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old Dutch winger told VTM, via Voetbal Primeur, earlier this month that there was “a good chance” he would be leaving the Jupiler Pro League champions this summer.
Lang was heavily linked with Leeds United last year.
