Leeds United transfer rumours as Newcastle 'weigh up' Harrison bid and Barcelona's 'final' Raphinha bid

Here are your Leeds United transfer rumours for Sunday, July 10.

Magpies eyeing Harrison

Newcastle United are ‘weighing up’ a bid for Whites winger Jack Harrison, according to the Daily Mail, as they look for cheaper alternatives to Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby.

The Frenchman is Newcastle’s preferred target but will cost upwards of £60million, and although the club have next to no financial boundaries, Harrison is thought to fit better into this summer’s budget.

Eddie Howe is a huge admirer of the Leeds winger, who has racked up 16 goals and nine assists in his two seasons in the Premier League, and would be happy with a move for the 25-year-old.

Leeds will be prepared for bids this summer, with Tottenham also interested in the ex-Manchester City man, but are unlikely to sell having already lost Kalvin Phillips and looking likely to sell Raphinha.

Barca submit ‘final offer’

Barcelona have submitted their ‘final offer’ for Raphinha, according to Spanish outlet Sport, with an initial fee believed to be €55million (around £47million). The Spanish club’s offer is significantly lower than Chelsea’s accepted bid of £60million and they are leaning on the player’s desire to move to the Camp Nou in a bid to cut a deal.

They will now wait on a final response from Leeds, who face a tough decision as to whether they lower their sale price to speed up a deal or hold firm and drag the saga out for even longer. Chelsea remain in the background of the deal, hoping that Barca’s hesitation could open the door for them to pounce.

The Brazilian winger has reportedly requested not to travel to Australia this weekend, with the squad flying out for their pre-season tour. He would prefer to remain in the UK in a bid to accelerate his departure.

Whites eye three more signings as Milan advance on De Ketelaere

AC Milan are advancing their approach towards Leeds target Charles De Ketelaere, according to the Daily Mail, which also claims the Whites are eyeing three more incomings.

Leeds are reportedly preparing a £32million bid for the Club Brugge star and are in pole position when it comes to the fee, but De Ketelaere would prefer a move to Milan and to Champions League football.

Milan are now advancing in their push for the 21-year-old, but Victor Orta is keen on further signings including a left-back, central midfielder and an experienced goalkeeper, according to the report, with Watford shot-stopper Ben Foster named as a potential target.
