Midfielder 'very keen' on Newcastle move
One of the consequences of relegation back to the Championship - should Leeds suffer that fate on Sunday - is that the club will almost certainly lose Kalvin Phillips. The midfielder has made it known that he is keen to remain at the club, should they maintain their Premier League status for another season but as an established England starter, his career has progressed to a stage where a season back in the second tier would be untenable.
One of the teams that have been linked to signing him is Newcastle United and journalist, Sean Casey, has suggested that Phillips would be 'very keen' to join the project at St James Park. Evans told the Loaded HQ Youtube channel, as reported by ThisIsFutbol :
"If Leeds get relegated I think Kalvin Phillips is very keen on a move to Newcastle, out of all the options that he has, I think he’d probably choose Newcastle and I think it’s only a deal that we would do if Leeds got relegated – that’s when he comes into the equation, if they get relegated."

Helder Costa will 'definitively leave' Valencia
One player Leeds hoped to receive a fee for this summer was Helder Costa. The winger has been on loan at Valencia since September but has struggled for a regular game time. As such, Jose Bordalas has not been convinced that the club should trigger the option to make the deal a permanent one.
Reports from Spain state that Costa will 'definitively leave' and return to Leeds. Therefore, they will need to find a new buyer for the winger, unless the Angolan international is given another chance in Leeds' first-team.
