Leeds United transfer rumours as Jack Harrison contract claim made amid Newcastle United interest

A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Thursday, 29 September.

Leeds United told to make Jack Harrison a top earner at the club

Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell has told Leeds United to make Jack Harrison one of the top-earners at the club after Newcastle United registered their interest in the wide-man last summer. The Magpies reportedly had two bids rejected by the Whites, who are now set to open talks with Harrison over an improved contract.

Speaking to Football Insider, when asked if Harrison should be one of the highest-paid players at the club, Campbell said: "I think so. He has proven himself over the past couple of seasons. He has been excellent.

“We know that Newcastle have been after him. If he came on the market there would be a lot of teams interest because he is a fine player.

“At the end of the day he is a young lad who has outplayed his contract. Personally, I think he is up there with Leeds’ best players. He should be remunerated accordingly. He should be up there with the top earners, whoever that may be.”

What next for Cody Drameh as Jesse Marsch to make tough Leeds United call

Jesse Marsch has a number of key decisions to make this weekend as he begins to piece together his starting line-up to face Aston Villa on Sunday at Elland Road. He’s had a long time to think about them since the Whites lost to Brentford at the start of September, but Marsch will be pondering changes in defence, midfield and attack.

The head coach will be glad for the selection headache, it’s a sign of the depth and talent he has at his disposal, but he’ll be having one or two difficult conversations over the coming days as the weekend nears. One of the biggest decisions Marsch must make comes at right-back with Rasmus Kristensen, Luke Ayling and Cody Drameh battling it out for the spot.

The trio will all be desperate to be involved against the Villans, but only one can feature in their natural position and it remains to be seen who’ll get the nod. Kristensen and Ayling are the senior options and it seems they are both ever so slightly ahead of Drameh in the pecking order right now.

AC Milan still tracking Luis Sinisterra after Elland Road transfer

Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti claims AC Milan are still keeping an eye on Leeds United's summer signing Luis Sinisterra. The Serie A champions reportedly watched the Colombian in the summer, but the Whites pipped the Italian outfit to his signature.

“My big dream is only one, Luis Sinisterra,” Pellegatti told his YouTube channel. “At Feyenoord he played on the left, but at Colombia and Leeds he starts from the right.

“He reminds me to death of Leao, even if he is less overbearing and devastating in the race. But he has great class and confidence, he reminds me of Rafa.”

Pellegatti also said that Sinisterra would still be affordable for Milan, despite their summer approach for Club Brugge midfielder Charles de Ketelaere. The Whites were also keen on signing the Belgian but Milan won that battle.

“Having one on the right and the other on the left, with De Ketelaere as an attacking midfielder, would drive me crazy,” the reporter added.

“Moncada [AC Milan's chief scout] followed him, Milan likes him. He has a market value of 25-35 million, therefore in the range of the club.”
