Leeds United dealt blow in Cody Gakpo pursuit
Leeds United may now find it difficult to complete a move for PSV talisman Cody Gakpo. The Whites had tried to sign the Netherlands international in the summer but were unable to agree a deal with the Eredivisie side.
The Dutchman has been one of the standout players for his club this season, with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly tracking the wide man. Andrea Radrizzani revealed his desire to sign the playmaker on Twitter, but journalist Fabrizio Romano now believes it'll be tough for the Whites in January.
Speaking on his latest his latest Here We Go podcast, he said: "Now what’s the situation? That Leeds are still hoping for Cody Gakpo. Southampton have been there for a long time. But from what I’m told now, the status of Cody Gakpo has completely, completely changed.

“So I think it’s going to be really difficult for Leeds and Southampton to go for Cody Gakpo and now there are top clubs following him not just in Premier League.”
Whites warned about hijacking West Brom's move for Carlos Croberan
Former Leeds United shot-stopper Paul Robinson has warned Leeds United of talk about hijacking an approach for former assistant Carlos Corberan. The ex-Whites coach has been linked with a move to West Brom as manager, following Steve Bruce's sacking.
With pressure mounting on Jesse Marsch to get results, Corberan is one of the names that has been touted as a potential successor. "It’s all well and good thinking of Carlos Corberan, who is a young developing manager. He did okay at Huddersfield,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“Or a younger manager like Michael Beale at QPR, who’s got potential and can take the club on in the long term.
“You need somebody who can get results and get results in two minutes, not two weeks or two months or for the long-term future of the club.
“You need somebody to sustain the long-term future by going in there this season and keeping them in the Premier League.
“At the moment, it doesn’t look like they are if results don’t go right.”
