Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Friday, July 22.
Raphinha deal could fall well short of reported fee
The deal agreed between Leeds and Barcelona for the transfer of Raphinha was reported as being worth more than £50m upfront with the potential of add-ons. It was a lesser offer than the one tabled by Chelsea but the Brazilian’s desire to seal a dream switch to Catalonia won out.
However, the deal may still end up falling some way short of how much the Whites were expecting to earn for their star forward. Marca in Spain are now reporting that the signing is only worth around £41m upfront with the potential of £10m more in add-ons.

The report also states that a large chunk of the add-ons will only be activated in the case of Raphinha winning the Champions League at Barcelona.
Leeds 'want £35m' for Harrison sale
Rumours in the last few days have suggested that Newcastle were actively pursuing their interest in Jack Harrison. Many outlets reported that a bid had been lodged by the Magpies with amounts between £18m and £25m being quoted.
Each of the reports on the situation stated, in no uncertain terms, that Leeds quickly rejected any approach from Eddie Howe and co. The offer clearly didn’t meet the club’s valuation of Harrison which would be considerably more than £25m.
According to TEAMtalk, that valuation is around £35m and, until a bid of that amount is received, there will be no movement.
Leeds beaten to Brighton starlet by Chelsea
Victor Orta has made a conscious effort to strengthen the club’s development set-up in the last few years. Signings such as Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood and Lewis Bate have shown exactly what one arm of the recruitment process is at Elland Road and more will follow in their footsteps.
Leeds were hoping that the next player to walk that path would be Brighton’s Zak Sturge but they have been beaten to his signing by Chelsea, as per Sussex Live. A number of clubs in England and elsewhere around Europe had shown an interest in the 18-year-old left-back but he looks set to link up with the Under-23 side at Cobham.
