Leeds United should have gone and made a deadline day switch for former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli.
That's the view of former England defender Danny Mills, who believes the Whites had a chance to sign the 25-year-old before he made the move to Everton in the 11th hour.
Alli, who has struggled for game time at Spurs this term, signed for the Toffees on a free transfer on January 31 after Frank Lampard was appointed as the club's new manager.

It has been reported that the Whites also had an opportunity to sign Donny van de Beek and Harry Winks in a bid to bolster their midfield options but they decided to stick what they cuurently have in the squad.
Mateo Joseph was Leeds' only addition in the winter transfer window, however, he has teamed-up with the Under 23s squad as he looks to continue his development.
However, Mills has claimed that the Whites' missed out on Alli and should've tried to sign him given the quality he's demonstrated at Spurs in the past.
"I was a little bit surprised," Mills told Football Insider.
"We were told there was money to spend, money was available.
"There principle of not wanting to bring in anybody who wasn’t as good as who was already there, they wanted to bring in better. I understand that but sometimes you have to go out there.
"They’ve got good senior players, they’ve got some good youngsters. I understand they didn’t want to bring in players to hampen those young players but they are in a precarious position at the moment.
"From being told there was a lot of money to spend and not spending it, there are two questions to ask.
"Could they not get the deals done? Or, did they not feel those players were good enough to improve the squad.
"Even the likes of Dele Alli went on a free transfers. That would have been a pretty big coup in the end for Leeds.
"There were players out there who were available. Leeds were very interested in Aaronson and couldn’t get that deal done and will now have to wait until the summer.
"When you’re down there you need some sort of a psychological boost. Maybe Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t feel he needs that."
