Sky Sports commentator Alan Smith believes Leeds United's lack of momentum has dragged them back into the Premier League relegation race. Recent weeks have seen Leeds' closest relegations rivals Everton and Burnley pick up huge results in the fight for survival while Leeds succumbed to a heavy 4-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
Burnley have pulled off a miraculous revival under caretaker boss Mike Jackson while Everton managed to edge out Chelsea 1-0 last weekend to breath life into their season. Everton's win means they now sit two points behind Leeds but with a game in hand on Jesse Marsch's side, which should be cause for concern at Elland Road.
Frank Lampard's side take on Leicester City this weekend, but then travel to face Watford away, who could be relegated by that time and also have the worst home record in the Premier League. And Smith reckons the lack of a feel good factor around the Whites at the moment could be potentially devastating in their fight for survival.

"We haven't spoken about Leeds too much in terms of relegation but very often a team comes into the reckoning in the last few weeks," said Smith. "They haven't got the momentum with a couple of tough games coming up. Burnley have had some great results.
"Everton are going to have to get something from Leicester and Watford. With Watford being virtually down, you'd imagine Everton will have the edge there. Leicester, are they still going to be in Europe? That's another question by the time that fixture comes up. They need to go on the road and become a better team than they have been.
"The teams you want to play are the ones in mid-table, the ones that are maybe psychologically on the beach. You don't want to be playing relegation-threatened teams."
