Leeds Unite may be on the verge of an expected relegation to the Championship, but that's not stopped Stan Collymore predicting the possibility of a big summer on the transfer front for the club.
The former Liverpool forward believes there is a possibility we could see a huge summer impact in the transfer market if the takeover by the San Francisco 40ers goes through. That takeover was seen as nothing short of a formality had the Whites stayed in the Premier League, with some questions now as to the price of buying the club and what sort of deal will be done.
Pointing to the changes that took place at Chelsea last summer following the purchase of the club by American owner Todd Boehly, Collymore says there's no reason we wouldn't see a similar sort of impact at Leeds, albeit at Championship level.

Writing in The Mirror, he said; “If Leeds’ American stakeholders do indeed take control this summer then we’ll be watching to see if they try to have a ‘wow’ summer similar to Todd Boehly at Chelsea a year ago.”
Meanwhile, the former England man believes only Rodrigo will be wanted by Premier League clubs should Leeds be relegated.
He added: "I look at Leeds’ squad and the only player I’d go for if I was a Premier League side would be Rodrigo, so it will be interesting to see what happens with him.
“But if you look at their squad, there are a lot of Championship players in it and I don’t think they would have what it takes to go again.”
