Leeds United team news as Sam Allardyce makes two changes to face West Ham United

Sam Allardyce has made two changes to his Leeds United side to take on West Ham United at the London Stadium this afternoon. The Whites know only a win would be enough to see them leapfrog Everton and move out of the Premier League relegation zone and Allardyce will fancy his side’s chances of getting the job done in east London.

The head coach has kept faith with Patrick Bamford, who has struggled for confidence and form of late. Bamford missed a penalty last week against Newcastle United, but he will lead the line and he’ll be determined to turn in a strong performance and bring an end to his poor run.

Allardyce has moved to bring Adam Forshaw back into the starting line-up. The midfielder has been Leeds’ best over the last couple of games and he replaces Sam Greenwood in the XI.

Junior Firpo drops out, of course, as he serves a one-match suspension for the red card he received last weekend. That opens the door for Pascal Struijk to come back into the side as a starter, but it remains to be seen who will be asked to play as a left-back, with Max Wober able to shift over, too.

Marc Roca has been deemed fit enough to claim a bench spot after overcoming the knee issue that Allardyce mentioned in his pre-match press conference, while Sonny Perkins and Jeremiah Mullen are also included, fresh from winning promotion with the U21s.

Leeds United: Joel Robles; Luke Ayling, Rasmus Kristensen, Max Wober, Pascal Struijk; Robin Koch, Weston McKennie, Adam Forshaw; Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo.

Bench: Illan Meslier, Liam Cooper, Jeremiah Mullen, Sam Greenwood, Crysencio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto, Georginio Rutter, Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca.
