Jesse Marsch has made nine changes to his Leeds United line-up to take on Barnsley in the Carabao Cup at Elland Road this evening. The Whites will be keen to build on Sunday’s 3-0 win over Chelsea by securing their place in the hat for this evening’s third round draw.
Liam Cooper returns to make his first appearance of the season for the Whites. The skipper has struggled with an Achilles injury over the last couple of months and missed much of pre-season, but he has been fit enough to start this evening’s game.
Leo Hjelde and Cody Drameh come into the back line as well and they’ll be playing alongside the more experienced Diego Llorente. Adam Forshaw makes his first start of the season in the middle of the park. The midfielder missed the first Premier League game of the season with a knee issue, but he’s shaken that off now and he’s ready to start this evening’s clash.

Mateusz Klich and Sam Greenwood start, too, to make their first starts of the year, while it will be a full debut for Luis Sinisterra. The Colombian has only made a couple of small appearances off the bench for his new club after his July move from Feyenoord.
The head coach has named a strong bench, featuring the likes of Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca, Jack Harrison and Rodrigo, who has scored four in his last three appearances.
Leeds: Illan Meslier; Cody Drameh, Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Leo Hjelde; Adam Forshaw, Sam Greenwood; Crysencio Summerville, Mateusz Klich, Luis Sinisterra; Joe Gelhardt
Bench: Joel Robles, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca, Pascal Struijk, Dan James, Jack Harrison, Rodrigo, Robin Koch.
