Leeds United team news as Jesse Marsch opts for attacking reshuffle against Crystal Palace

Jesse Marsch has made just one change to his Leeds United side to take on Crystal Palace this afternoon at Selhurst Park. The Whites are looking to pick up their first win since August and they could climb as high as seventh in the Premier League table if they were to do that.

Luis Sinisterra will miss the game through suspension following his red card last time out against Aston Villa and that opens the door for Patrick Bamford to regain a spot in the starting XI. The striker hasn’t started a Premier League game since picking up an injury in the draw with Southampton back in August.

However, Marsch confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Bamford would be fit to start and he will lead the line this afternoon in south London. Rodrigo drops deeper to play the secondary striker role, while Brenden Aaronson will move out to the right, where he started the season.

Crysencio Summerville is available off the bench after being singled out for praise by his head coach on Friday. Junior Firpo isn’t involved at all, meaning Pascal Struijk gets the nod once more at left-back, while skipper Liam Cooper makes just his second start of the campaign.

Darko Gyabi has been named on the bench to provide midfield cover and he would be making his debut for the club should he get the nod. Joe Gelhardt also comes back into the squad after missing out on selection last week.

Leeds United’s XI: Illan Meslier; Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk; Marc Roca, Tyler Adams; Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo, Jack Harrison; Patrick Bamford

Bench: Kristoffer Klaesson, Luke Ayling, Diego Llorente, Sam Greenwood, Wilfried Gnonto, Joe Gelhardt, Mateusz Klich, Crysencio Summerville, Darko Gyabi.
