Former Swansea City defender Ashley Williams has told Leeds United fans that they should be "excited" about Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter's partnership on the pitch after the Whites beat Accrington Stanley 3-1 in the FA Cup fourth round.
A wonder-strike from Jack Harrison followed by goals from Junior Firpo and Luis Sinisterra ensured that Leeds have progressed to the fifth round of the competition for the first time since 2016. Jesse Marsch's side showed their Premier League class against their League One opposition as they avoided what could have been a potential banana skin at the Wham Stadium.
Leeds supporters were excited to watch Rutter in action for their club for the first time - and although the former Hoffenheim man failed to make an impact in the match - Williams has now claimed that there is plenty to be excited about regarding the Frenchman's on-field relationship with Bamford.

"There were some flashes of it [Rutter and Bamford's partnership] working today and you could see it at times," Williams told BBC's Match of the Day. "Rutter looked sharp at times, I think he's going to need a bit of time to adjust.
"If you look at his [Rutter's] eyes, he's looking for Bamford, this is what I think Leeds fans will be excited about."
Williams went on to praise Bamford for his role in Leeds' second goal, where the forward picked out Firpo with a sensational pass for his second assist of the match.
"Bamford holds the ball up and then uses a lovely bit of skill to pass to Firpo," he added. "Bamford looked good today, he looked sharp.
"[For the third goal] we have highlighted Bamford because it's Sinisterra that gets the goal but Bamford is so desperate for it - he's been running all day. He's almost a bit disappointed when it goes in, then he has a laugh which is nice because he's happy for his teammate.
"If you're a Leeds fan you're probably a little bit excited about that partnership [Bamford and Rutter] if they can hit it off."
