Leeds United supporters could not hide their excitement as former Whites star Mateusz Klich scored a stunning goal for DC United on his MLS debut.
Klich traded West Yorkshire for Washington DC in January as the club bid farewell to the midfielder after a five-and-a-half-year spell at Elland Road. The Poland international has now teamed up with DC United and was named in Wayne Rooney's starting XI in the early hours of Sunday morning for their first game of the season against Toronto.
And it took Klich just 13 minutes to make an impact. The 32-year-old picked up the ball on the halfway line before carrying it forward and letting fly from 25 yards out, sending a stinging drive into the bottom corner beyond the helpless Sean Johnson in goal for Toronto.

The visitors replied with goals of their own as they overturned the deficit to lead 2-1, yet DC United found the back of the net twice in injury time - including one strike from former Premier League star Christian Benteke - that saw Rooney's side complete a sensational turnaround to win 3-2.
Klich's goal was the standout moment from the match and capped off what was a perfect day for Whites fans following the 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
As Leeds supporters woke up and saw Klich's stunning strike for his new side, they could not help but take to social media and heap praise on the man they still hold dear to their hearts.
