Leeds United supporters have been reacting to the news that Steven Gerrard is now the bookmakers' favourite for the managerial vacancy.
The Whites are without a head coach following relegation from the Premier League. Sam Allardyce's short, four-game spell in charge ended earlier this month and the search is now underway for a permanent successor. A clutch of names have been linked with the post and today saw ex-Rangers and Aston Villa chief Gerrard shoot to the top of the bookies' list.
Gerrard's odds tumbled from 16/1 down to 4/1 following the Whites' relegation and the Liverpool legend is now - at the time of writing - the joint-favourite with Bet365 at 9/4 alongside Daniel Farke to get the job, with word coming out this week from sources close to Gerrard that suggested he was confident of landing the role.

Former Leeds assistant manager and under-23s head coach Carlos Corberan, now at West Bromwich, is the second favourite priced just behind Gerrard at 5/2, with Daniel Farke's odds dropping in recent days to put him in at third favourite priced 5/1.
Here is a selection of what United fans have been saying about the possibility of Gerrard arriving...
DudleyEdwards1 - Our board are gullible. They will listen to whoever can talk the talk. So it will be Gerrard who will fail to walk the walk. Coming scenario: The fans will be screaming for him to be sacked and the board will look stupid yet again.
oldyleeds - With Gerrard and co and Karl and co, it looks like they maybe softening us up for a low punch. I'll still keep on wishing for Rogers and Potter.
Mutley Dog - No thanks, never mind Rangers look at Villa and how well they did, with the same players, after he was sacked.
totherbojo - Gerrard did well at Rangers - which is equivalent of our Championship - and Gordon Strachan likes him. He must have learned from his mistakes at Villa so why not?
desertrat - It has to be Carlos Corberan, 100 per cent.
