Former Leeds United youngster David Seaman has heaped praise on Patrick Bamford for his performance against Arsenal. The former Gunners shot stopper likened the Whites striker to Dennis Bergkamp for his ability to do the dirty side of the game, despite being a 'Mr. Nice Guy.'
Speaking to Seaman Says, the former Arsenal shot stopper said: "As soon as he came on they looked totally different. Obviously they've missed him a lot when you look at the difference when he came on like that.
"He's one of those guys that looks like a nice quiet guy but he's a bit like Dennis Bergkamp - everyone thought he was Mr. Nice Guy but on the pitch they can look after themselves. Dennis was the same he'd stick his elbow in and make the defenders really cry and that's what Bamford does.

"Bamford can look after himself and put himself about but he's got this image of Mr. Nice Guy. Leeds have missed him a lot.
"He's had a lot of injuries and needs a run of games to steady Leeds because they're there or thereabouts in that relegation zone. Leeds need to get some results together just to steady the ship and hopefully he's going to have a run of games now that keeps him in the team."
The Whites striker was a second half substitute for Jesse Marsch's side but missed the decisive penalty that would have drawn Leeds level. Seaman believes Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale got in Bamford's head.
He added: "He does that and he got in his head afterwards as well. I don't know what it is, I couldn't do that it wasn't in my nature but I've seen him do it before - Fernandes at Man United - there's a few he's done it with before and whatever makes you tick.
"If it's going to make the player miss the penalty, I've seen Martinez do it at Villa. If the referees aren't going to stop them then it's going to make it a lot harder for the penalty taker because it does what it does, it winds you up.
"I can understand it if you've saved it but Aaron has done it twice now when they've missed the goal and he's still giving him loads. Whatever he's doing it's working."
The Arsenal legend knows the Gunners were not at their best for the trip to Elland Road. Seaman said: "Arsenal going up to Leeds and getting the win, not playing their best. They know that, there were a few instances going on.
"I put a picture of a half and half scarf on Twitter and got battered. Looking at the performance, football wise it wasn't brilliant but scraping a 1-0 win at Leeds is just a sign of the times.
"Sometimes we're not playing very well but we can still scrape out a result and there were a few incidents going on. There's one with Bamford and Gabriel - when you see the slow-mo you can totally see why the goal got disallowed.
"Aaron [Ramsdale] had a lot of saves to do and a lot of things to do, crosses and cutting out balls. It was a busy day for the Arsenal defence but I'm believing more and more. Sometimes a season can just come together."
"It wasn't the best performance so that's a little bit of a worry buy defending as a team was a lot better."
