Leeds United have made a solid start to the current Premier League campaign and are currently sat in mid-table. The 3-0 win over Chelsea is the best result of the campaign to date, but the 5-2 defeat to Brentford on their last outing raised some eyebrows.
The loss of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha was expected to hit the club hard, but as things stand, the new boys have shown promising signs. So much so, that Luis Sinisterra, Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca are leading the way for the Whites according to WhoScored.
The Colombian winger has been made to bide his time but has impressed in his handful of performances, while Aaronson and Roca are both boasting an average rating of 7. Jack Harrison and Pascal Struijk also have a rating of above 7, with the latter of those impressing in a more unorthodox role of left-back.

Rodrigo is unsurprisingly the main man up front, but his injury setback has left Leeds short of options, with Patrick Bamford the man expected to replace the Spaniard. The Whites recruitment team tried to bring in a striker during the summer but were unable to land their main targets with Wilfried Gnonto fast tracked.
With that in mind, it brings us on to the areas that Leeds need to address. The heart of defence has proven an area that needs improving with Diego Llorente struggling in recent weeks, and Liam Cooper being touted for a return.
Robin Koch has played himself into contention, but it's an area that in truth, needs long term investment. You would hope that Charlie Cresswell would be an ideal candidate if he impresses on loan with Millwall, but the Whites also need strength in depth at left-back, regardless of Struijk's strong start.
The situation up front is one that speaks for itself. Everyone knows that Leeds need some more depth up front, but as proven by the recent window, that's easier said than done.
One one hand, it provides an opportunity for Joe Gelhardt et al, to improve their game and hopefully establish themselves, should anything happen to Bamford. At this stage, it's fair to say the Whites have recruited well and have signed players to fit Marsch's philosophy, but only time will tell whether the club made a mistake in not bringing in someone to lead the line.
