Tyler Adams believes USA have a "huge opportunity" when they face the Netherlands in the Round of 16 on Saturday. The USMNT will be aiming to reach the quarter-finals for only the third time in their history, and the first time since the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
Christian Pulisic scored the only goal as they secured their passage to the knockout stages by defeating Iran on Tuesday. Gregg Berhalter's side finished runners-up in Group B behind England, and are yet to taste defeat, after opening their World Cup campaign with draws against Wales and England respectively.
Leeds United duo Adams and Brenden Aaronson both starred against Iran, with the latter coming off the bench, but it has been Adams in particular, who has been receiving the plaudits out in Qatar.
The USMNT captain has been an invaluable leader in the heart of midfield, and is relishing the opportunity of facing Louis van Gaal's Dutch outfit in the next round.

"Huge opportunity for us," Adams told ESPN. "It's going to be an amazing game. I think we've obviously played good competition here.
"Like England, the Netherlands could be another favourite to win the World Cup. They've done really well, how they navigated through their group phase of the tournament so far.
"[The Netherlands] have some amazing players. We're going to have to be ready for that game, but I think right now we enjoy this moment, have some downtime to relax and recover now, [and then] mentally focus. The coaches will come up with a game plan. It's time for us to execute."
