Leeds United loanee Tyler Roberts has missed out on a place in Wales' World Cup squad after an injury-hit start to his loan spell at QPR, while his Whites teammate Daniel James will be heading to Qatar.
Shortly before the official announcement, Roberts took to Instagram to post a statement confirming that he has been 'ruled out'.
"Being ruled out of the world cup is one of the hardest things I had to hear but its a reality now," he posted.

"Although my childhood dream cannot come true this year I know that it can still be possible in the future so as always the hard work to get there and other places in my career never stops.
"I wish nothing but the best for the team."
Roberts has featured 12 times for QPR this season, netting just once when he scored the winner in the Rs' 2-1 win over Bristol City at the start of October.
James, meanwhile, is currently on loan at Fulham, where he has featured seven times since his deadline day move to Craven Cottage after falling down the pecking order under Jesse Marsch.
The former Swansea and Manchester United winger joins Rasmus Kristensen who was announced to be part of the Denmark squad yesterday to be the latest Leeds player confirmed to be going to the tournament, while many others have been featured in provisional squads.
Pascal Struijk was named in the Netherlands' 39-man provisional squad despite being uncapped for his country while American pair Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson will be hoping to be called up to the USMNT squad later on Wednesday evening.
