Leeds United winger Raphinha is reportedly ‘waiting’ on Barcelona to make an offer for him amid suggestions they will be unable to fund a move. That is according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim that the Brazilian has his heart set on a move to the Camp Nou after helping Leeds remain in the Premier League.
Reports emerged as early as March that Raphinha’s agent Deco – who is also Barcelona’s Brazilian scout – had already agreed personal terms on a summer switch to the Catalan side. However, it appears as though Barcelona were expecting to pay a fee of just £25 million.
Raphinha had a relegation release clause of this price, however with Leeds now safe in the top-flight for another year, that no longer exists, meaning the Whites are able to hold out for more. Leeds have reportedly set an asking price of at least double that, which given Barcelona’s current financial predicament, may be out of their price range.
