Leeds United winger Raphinha isn’t keen on a proposed switch to Chelsea this summer. That’s according to Spanish news outlet Sport, who are claiming the Brazilian has asked his agent, Deco, to prioritise a move to Barcelona, who are also said to be keen on his signature.
Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Raphinha in the last few days, agreeing a fee for the player with Leeds, who would be willing to let the 25-year-old leave Elland Road for the right price. The Blues are under new ownership and they are keen to bolster Thomas Tuche’s squad with the Leeds man, while they have also been strongly linked with a move for Man City’ Raheem Sterling.
However, the report claims that the Brazil international has no intention of moving to west London, given his ambitions to play for Barcelona. The Catalan club are yet to reach an agreement with Leeds, but the report would suggest their interest alone is enough to make Raphinha turn down Chelsea’s advances.
