Leeds United have not been quite as heavily represented as usual on the international stage during the current break from Premier League football but there have still been seven players away from Thorp Arch and with their respective countries. A positive Covid-19 test for Raphinha denied him the opportunity to link up with Brazil, meanwhile Illan Meslier, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente have missed out on international duty despite being called up due to injuries.
Tyler Roberts is regularly called upon by Wales but is still sidelined and consequently unavailable, whilst Mateusz Klich was left out of the Poland squad as he has a suspension to serve and Lewis Bate had to withdraw from the England U20 squad due to injury. Leo Hjelde has also not been involved with Norway at youth level having been kept out of club action by a knee injury.
It will have been a case of mixed emotions for Klich, who will have been disappointed to miss out on the win over Sweden which secured Poland's place at the upcoming World Cup, as well as jubilant about the achievement. Kalvin Phillips has only recently returned from injury and having not made a Premier League appearance since December, was not included in Gareth Southgate's England squad.

Similarly, Liam Cooper has only just overcome injury and therefore was absent from the Scotland squad. In fact, the Whites had more squad members representing youth sides, a reminder of both the torrid luck with injuries experienced by the first-team and the promising talent Jesse Marsch has at his disposal.
LeedsLive have rounded up how members of Marsch's squad have fared on international duty.
Stuart Dallas - Northern Ireland
The 30-year-old featured in both of Northern Ireland's friendlies, starting in a 3-1 win over Luxembourg before being used as a substitute in a 1-0 home defeat to Hungary. His appearances took his number of senior international caps to 62.
Daniel James - Wales
James completed 88 minutes on Thursday as Wales defeated Austria 2-1 to edge closer to securing a spot at the World Cup. He produced a whole-hearted and energetic display but struggled in front of goal, squandering several gilt-edged opportunities. Wales returned to action with a friendly against Czech Republic, but a reshuffle left James on the bench and he was not called upon in the 1-1 draw.
Kristoffer Klaesson - Norway U21
Meslier's deputy was between the sticks for Norway U21s as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Sweden, a loss which has dented their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA European U21 Championship but not erased them entirely.
Charlie Cresswell - England U21
England U21s comfortably secured wins over Andorra and Albania but Cresswell was an unused substitute for both. Head coach Lee Carsley instead opted for a centre-back pairing of Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Levi Colwill, both of which currently ply their trade in the Championship on loan at Stoke City and Huddersfield Town respectively.

Crysencio Summerville - Netherlands U21
The winger was used as a late substitute as the Netherlands U21s were held to a 0-0 draw by Bulgaria, before watching on as an unused substitute as a 2-0 win over Switzerland was secured.
Sam Greenwood - England U20
Greenwood started in both of the U20s fixtures, completing 74 minutes in a 2-0 defeat to Poland before notching the opening goal in a 3-1 win over Germany. He was teed up for his first U20s goal by James McAtee of Manchester City and his deflected effort found the back of the net after just 10 minutes.
Archie Gray - England U17
It was an unsuccessful international break for England U17s, who fell to defeats against France and Luxembourg. Gray started and was replaced after 84 minutes against France before entering the fray as a 58th-minute substitute against Luxembourg.
