Leeds United will be looking to record three successive Premier League victories for the first time this season when they face Newcastle United at Elland Road this weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa's side earned a 3-1 success over Burnley earlier this month, before beating West Ham United 3-2 last time out which has put some breathing space between them and the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, opponents Newcastle are still searching for their first away win of the campaign but they could move out of the bottom three with a positive result in West Yorkshire.
Nevertheless, the Whites can continue their upturn in form but will be without a number of key players after Bielsa revealed his latest team news on Thursday.
Firstly, Patrick Bamford has sustained a fresh foot problem in the build-up to the game against the Magpies, adding to his woes after missing the last six matches with a hamstring issue.
The England international was expected to be back in the Leeds squad for the trip to West Ham last weekend, however, he wasn't included, to the surprise of some supporters given Bielsa's comments.
After limping off in the 23rd minute at the London Stadium, Junior Firpo has been ruled out with a muscular problem but Bielsa didn't reveal the time frame on the injury.
The Argentine also confirmed that Adam Forshaw is also unavailable after sustaining a hamstring issue, although early signs suggest he could be back for the trip to Aston Villa on February 8.
However, Joe Gelhardt and Tyler Roberts may return following spells on the sidelines, with Bielsa admitting it's 'likely' the Whites can count on the duo on Saturday.
He won't be able to call on the key duo Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips as they are both recovering from longer-term setbacks.
As for the other absentees, they are all more short-term issues, including Sam Greenwood, who sustained an injury in the FA Cup third-round defeat at West Ham.
The rest of the problems for Bielsa come in the back-line as Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton are both still out but aren’t expected to be too far away from a return to the squad.
Diego Llorente, though, is set to return from suspension after serving a one-match ban for picking up five yellow cards and he will be a massive addition to Leeds' options in defence.
That boost will be multiplied tenfold if the rest of the absent players are able to come back into the squad without further disruption, although life, as Whites fans know only too well, isn't always that simple!
