Leeds United’s bench divides opinion as supporters react to line-up for Wolves opener

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has named his first starting line-up of the Premier League season to face Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon.

Pascal Struijk has stepped into the breach at left-back to fill the void for the injured Junior Firpo. Rodrigo's hat-trick against Cagliari has also earned the Spaniard a spot in the starting line-up. Marsch has given Premier League debuts to Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson.

Darko Gyabi also features on the bench for the Whites, although the level of experience has concerned some supporters. Here is how Leeds fans have reacted to the side set to face Wolves.

@Sub2Stormy Aside from Struijk at left back I can’t complain.

@L_Jordan4 Is it me or is the bench full of kids again.

@MellyMaestro As much as I’ve been rolling my eyes at everyone who whinged about the transfers, we do look a little tight on the bench.

@stigedin Looking good.

@RobbieAdavies Same line-up as Sunday… Oh the optimism is what skills you first match of the season.

@GeorgeMacphers1 Pretty week bench. Apart from Klich it’s pretty much the U23s. The season has just started and we have injuries. This is the problem with football players these days.

@potter97814431 Bench looks weak up against a good Wolves side today. Come on lads MOT.

@julseylufc Come on you Leeds.

@carpitone I like that a lot

@ronallleeds As expected. Come on!

@GwynforJervis Starting line up looks good but need more experienced players on the bench.

@DrJohnDublin That will do!

@LUFC_Arizona Cooper, Ayling and Forshaw injured (plus Dallas who we might not see all season). But there are young players with Prem experience on that bench – it’s not short of quality.

@JackSnowden18 Love the balance of the squad. Really hope the Rodrigo and Bamford partnership blossoms.

@outofspace1991 Ayling, Cooper, Sinisterra and James all to come back. So we’ll be sound.
