Financial media company Bloomberg claims Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is among a group of investors keen on buying Italian side Inter Milan. The Whites owner, who was born in Milan, is said to be part of an investment group plotting a €1 billion takeover.
It's widely expected the current Whites owner will relinquish his controlling stake at Elland Road this summer, with 49ers Enterprises expected to take over his stake in the club. The American group already own 44 per cent of the club, having upped their stake up from 15 per cent and then to 37 per cent in recent years.
Bahrain-based Investcorp are also reportedly a potential bidder for Inter, having failed with a bid to buy rivals AC Milan last year. The report claims any proceeds from the sale of Leeds United could be used by Radrizzani’s Aser Ventures in a deal to purchase the Italian giants.

However, Radrizzani’s involvement would be dependent on the Whites keeping their Premier League status next season.
Leeds are currently two points above the drop zone with eight games still to play. Relegation from the Premier League is not said to deter the 49ers from a takeover, but it may mean Radrizzani is able to recoup less funds from any sale.
The Whites chief was repeatedly linked with a move to buy stricken Serie A club Salernitana during 2021, but he'd withdraw his interest. Bloomberg’s report adds: “Representatives for Aser, Investcorp and Inter Milan declined to comment on the offers."
