Leeds United quartet Liam Cooper, Junior Firpo, Luke Ayling and Mateusz Bogusz have all posted injury updates onto their official Instagram accounts. All four players have missed the first two games of the season due to various different fitness issues.
Cooper has been absent since the beginning of pre-season after picking up an Achilles problem on a treadmill during his summer break, while Firpo is on the road to recovery after suffering a knee injury in the club’s first friendly match against Blackpool.
Ayling and Bogusz, meanwhile, are both on their way back from more serious injuries. The former went under the knife in May for a knee problem that had been plaguing him throughout the season, while Bogusz also underwent surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament after picking up the injury during his time on loan at UD Ibiza.

Leeds captain Cooper posted a photo with the ball at his feet alongside the caption ‘getting there’, with Firpo also sharing an image of him back out on the grass doing some ball work. Bogusz then did the same, captioning his photo: ‘And again with you.’
This comes just a couple of weeks after Jesse Marsch provided a positive update on his condition, hinting he could have some involvement this season. He said: “Let's talk about Mateusz Bogusz. He has been working incredibly hard and has also been on the pitch and we're hopeful that in a few weeks he can be in team training.
“So he maybe becomes an option. I need to get to know him better and see him with our team but it's exciting that he's coming back strong.”
Finally, Ayling wrote on his Instagram: “Been a long time since I’ve been able to post a picture of me with a ball at my feet!
“Getting stronger and fitter each. Can’t wait to be back with the boys and be part of the group.”
