Leeds United (4-2-3-1)
1 Illan Meslier
For all of the danger and territory Crystal Palace had, Meslier was not stretched hugely until the closing stages. Very good double save to deny Wilfried Zaha as we went into the final 10 minutes. Distribution solid enough. 7
2 Luke Ayling
As rough a ride as Wilfried Zaha can give Premier League full-backs, and Ayling had a lot of work to do, he trod the line well all things considered. Yes, there were fouls, but under the pressure of a moaning home crowd, the right-back did pretty well with Zaha when you look at the one vs ones he was faced with. Got forward well in his own regard too, but did not always have the service from others. 6
14 Diego Llorente
Shaky with his passing in the early stages, but steadied himself and was solid without being spectacular. A clean sheet is a clean sheet. 5

6 Liam Cooper (c)
Not quite as commanding as he was at Watford, but not too many feet put wrong by the captain. There were one or two loose passes in the second half which went unpunished. 6
15 Stuart Dallas
Rough time of it in the first half with Jordan Ayew and just as he was finding his feet he saw Michael Olise trotting on, who provided many more issues. Not much joy attacking for Dallas either. 5
43 Mateusz Klich
Couldn't bring any degree of control to the middle of the pitch. Hooked at the break after a few choice words from Jesse Marsch during the first period. 4
23 Kalvin Phillips
Didn't have that control in the midfield Leeds needed and Conor Gallagher's engine looked too much at points. Inevitably some rust for Phillips, but we didn't see the passing to trouble Palace we know he can deliver. 5
10 Raphinha
Had the individual quality to again look like the best attacker in the side, but his best effort was tame, which told the story of the game. 5
19 Rodrigo
Some loose passes in the first half which put Leeds in trouble, but beyond that next to nothing to really bother Palace. 3
22 Jack Harrison
All the work rate, but no threat. 3
20 Daniel James
Still hard to see what the gameplan is with the diminutive forward in the frontline. Whatever it is, it's not getting the best out of him. Another hour of chasing shadows. 3
Substitutes
13 Kristoffer Klaesson
3 Junior Firpo
5 Robin Koch (on for Klich h/t)
Tentative passes were picked off at points, but had his blushes spared. Still looks very awkward in that midfield slot. Does not have the off-the-ball movement or agility to get about people and around the pitch. 5
21 Pascal Struijk
26 Lewis Bate
30 Joe Gelhardt (on for Rodrigo 74min)
Very little to work with in his time on the field. 5
35 Charlie Cresswell
42 Sam Greenwood (on for James 59min)
Couldn't inspire anything in the attacking third. 5
