Leeds United (4-2-3-1)
1 Illan Meslier
Very good stop to deny Che Adams from close range in the first half, but question marks over his goalkeeping for James Ward-Prowse's free-kick and his poor distribution throughout the match which rarely seemed to relieve pressure on the side. 5
2 Luke Ayling
Steady game. Nicked the ball off the visitors throughout. Roamed forward, but not quite the say on the match he can have. Really found a licence to raid forward in the final quarter of the match and caused issues. 7
14 Diego Llorente
Can be unconventional, but brilliant at times or just verging on calamity in the backline. Armando Broja gave him a difficult afternoon without dominating him. 5

6 Liam Cooper (c)
A very solid return to action for the skipper. Did not have the same nervous moments Llorente had in the backline. Marshalled Adams comfortably for the most part. Aerial dominance was a welcome sight. 7
15 Stuart Dallas
Steady afternoon for Dallas without shining. Got up and down well. Offered options, but teammates seemed to overlook him more often than not. 6
43 Mateusz Klich
Provided the crucial third-man run which unlocked the passage of play for Jack Harrison's goal. Got about well throughout the afternoon and helped with recycling possession. Didn't fare too well as the pressure came on in the opening stages of the second period. 7
4 Adam Forshaw
Always there to put a tackle in or bail a teammate out of a tight spot with a passing option. Like Klich, would have liked more control of the game in the dicey moments. 7
10 Raphinha
Hasn't consistently cut a defence to ribbons for weeks and weeks. Has the basic ability to do well with very little effort at this level, but we're not seeing that top level from him that changes games. Deserves credit for keeping the ball in and delivering a decent cross for the opening goal. 6
19 Rodrigo
Another encouraging turn through the centre as the string-puller. Not everything always led to chances for the team, but Rodrigo had the nous and ability to find pockets for the side and at least threaten to pump life into the game. 7
22 Jack Harrison
Right place and right time for the goal, but another quiet afternoon for Harrison. 5
20 Daniel James
Ran the channels and with the space Leeds had in the first half, James had the pace to get sights of goal. Fraser Forster equal to the lot though. Lacking that composure and close control around the box to keep chances alive for the team. Easily smothered by defenders. 6
Substitutes
13 Kristoffer Klaesson
5 Robin Koch
21 Pascal Struijk (on for Ayling 89min)
Late switch with Ayling nursing an issue. N/A
23 Kalvin Phillips (on for Klich 66min)
After all the hype it was an understated return. Evidently rusty and finding his feet. 6
30 Joe Gelhardt (on for James 59min)
Again showed immediately why he's a natural at the head of the attack. Knows where to place himself, draws fouls, carries the ball, goes past people and gets in the box. 7
35 Charlie Cresswell
38 Crysencio Summerville
42 Sam Greenwood
