Leeds United (4-2-3-1)
1 Illan Meslier
Not much he could with the goals which went by him. Took evasive action on more than one occasion to bail out an absent defence. 5
2 Luke Ayling (c)
A decent opening 45 minutes, but was among the worst to self-destruct once the visitors equalised. Inexplicably drilled a high, diagonal pass towards Jack Harrison right when Leeds needed some calm. Would then see Jordan Ayew comfortably outjump him for the second away goal. 2
5 Robin Koch
Generally dealt well with Odsonne Edouard, but has to accept some responsibility for the ease with which Crystal Palace cut through for their easy third goal. 3

21 Pascal Struijk
Much like Koch, Struijk was very comfortable for 45 minutes, but found himself at the eye of that second-half storm. 3
3 Junior Firpo
Michael Olise was given far too much space through the decisive opening phase of the second half. 4
28 Weston McKennie
All of the silkiness and steel we saw on Tuesday night was repeated through the first half, but nothing came off for him in the second period and all of the low-percentage passes which did not come off only frustrated. 5
8 Marc Roca
Began promisingly, but all of his boisterous energy and will to impress amounted to naive anticipation of what was going on around him. Found himself dribbled past by the opposition on at least seven occasions. 3
11 Jack Harrison
Barely in the game save for a couple of decent set-pieces. 3
7 Brenden Aaronson
Much better set-piece delivery from the American, but faded out of the game entirely in the second period. 5
23 Luis Sinisterra
Some encouraging efforts on goal in the first half, but became a passenger after the break. 4
9 Patrick Bamford
Took his goal well and played his part in the superb opening 40 minutes or so. Marc Guehi seemed to gain the upper hand in their scrap as the match swayed towards the visitors. 5
Substitutes
22 Joel Robles
4 Adam Forshaw
6 Liam Cooper
10 Crysencio Summerville
19 Rodrigo (on for Sinisterra 60min)
Cut the frustrated figure we are used to seeing from his darker days in Leeds colours. Dropped deeper and deeper to pick the ball up, but only looked blunt and out of position. 4
24 Georginio Rutter (on for Bamford 79min)
Game was long gone when the Frenchman came on. N/A
25 Rasmus Kristensen (on for Firpo 61min)
Switched off when the centre-backs stepped up to play Ayew onside for the fifth goal. Caught badly out of position by Olise at left-back several times. 3
29 Wilfried Gnonto (on for Aaronson 60min)
Virtually no impact. 4
42 Sam Greenwood
