Leeds United player ratings as Jack Harrison responds but Robin Koch struggles in Brighton draw

Illan Meslier: Could do little to prevent Brighton’s goals as those in front of him struggled. Made a couple of fine stops in the first half and denied Welbeck well in the second. 6

Luke Ayling: Beaten in the air by Kaoru Mitoma in the build-up to Brighton’s effort in the first half and he found the Japan international difficult to deal with throughout. Should have scored in the second half. 5

Robin Koch: Fared well generally but let himself down when he was caught ball watching as Alexis Mac Allister’s opening effort. Struggled to find the right pass at times. 5

Max Wober: Didn’t cover himself in glory in the build-up to Brighton’s first and could have done more to prevent Brighton’s second going in. 5

Junior Firpo: Struggled with Solly March early doors but gathered himself well and was probably Leeds’ best defender. 6

Tyler Adams: Hit and miss. Won possession back with energy and tenacity and looked to move the ball forward, but his passing game wasn’t always up to scratch. 6

Marc Roca: Got through plenty of work but couldn’t make the impact Gracia hoped and he was sloppy in possession as Leeds invited pressure on themselves at times. 5

Brenden Aaronson: Found the space to run on a regular basis but lacked end product. Arguably one of his most lively showings for a while. 6

Crysencio Summerville: Had some bright early moments but couldn’t really make much more of an impact on the game beyond that. 5

Patrick Bamford: Took his goal well from the outside of the box. Struggled to hold onto the ball at times, though. 6

Jack Harrison: His selection raised eyebrows and he had a few uneasy moments early in the game. He was the man that created Leeds’ equaliser in the first half. He took his goal sublimely, too. Unfortunate to be credited with the own goal. 6

Rodrigo (Bamford 66): Looked sharp in his first run out since January, made good runs and carried a threat. 6

Weston McKennie (Roca 66): Struggled at times to positively impact the game but got through plenty of work. 6

Wilfried Gnonto (Summerville 66): A livewire down the left, looked to make things happen. 6

Georginio Rutter (Aaronson 84): Arrived into the game late. N/A

Luis Sinisterra ( Harrison 90): Brought on in stoppage time. N/A

Subs not used: Joel Robles, Rasmus Kristensen, Pascal Struijk, , Sam Greenwood.
