Leeds United (4-2-3-1)
1 Illan Meslier
Blameless for the goal, but stopped several other big chances. Stood up in big moments when you expected the net to bulge. Saves got better as the match wore on. Superb. 9
25 Rasmus Kristensen
Very solid in defence, but frequently provided an out-ball down the vacant right flank and had the quality to bother Liverpool when he had it out there. 8
5 Robin Koch
Stood up well to Darwin Nunez's challenge and didn't make any grave errors. 7

6 Liam Cooper (c)
Solid. Some last-ditch clearances or blocks, but decent and kept Nunez quiet, like Koch. 7
21 Pascal Struijk
Did as well as could be expected against Mohamed Salah. Not quite as adventurous as Kristensen, but Leeds were grateful of the solid base on that side. 7
12 Tyler Adams
Immediately underlined why he was missed against Fulham and why he's the player of the season so far. Knew where to be, and when, every time Liverpool attacked. Distribution was decent when he won it back too. Such a fighter and disruptor. 9
8 Marc Roca
Outshone by Adams and looked clumsy in losing his footing a few times which exposed his team-mates. Did improve with some decent diagonal balls to the wingers during the good spells of the second half. 6
11 Jack Harrison
Had some decent moments at the high point of the second half, but generally lacking quality in the final third. Final product nowhere to be seen and looked a yard off the pace at times, even in the first half. 5
7 Brenden Aaronson
Could not have played much better without scoring or assisting. Looked a threat every time he picked up the ball and had the quality to hurt Liverpool when Leeds were desperate for that weapon. Composure, close control, confidence flowing through him. 8
10 Crysencio Summerville
Improved through the second half as his confidence grew, but looked like an under-21 taking that giant leap up in the main. Frustratingly slipped over frequently right when Leeds needed him on his feet. Showed up big time when it mattered with a priceless goal. 7
19 Rodrigo
In the right place at the right time for the second goal in a week. Linked up well with Aaronson and fed off the high level he was showing. 7
Substitutes
22 Joel Robles
2 Luke Ayling (on for Summerville 90min)
Nearly lost in the pandemonium. N/A
3 Junior Firpo
9 Patrick Bamford (on for Rodrigo 52min)
Again picking up the right positions and making the right runs, but touch and quality let him down. So rusty. 5
14 Diego Llorente
29 Wilfried Gnonto (on for Harrison 72min)
No eye-popping action in the Liverpool box, but looked zippy, bright and, crucially, confident on his debut despite his tender age. Did so well to find Bamford in the box ahead of the winning goal. 7
30 Joe Gelhardt
42 Sam Greenwood
43 Mateusz Klich
