Here are the Leeds United evening headlines on Tuesday, December 13.
Leeds United youngster linked with loan move to Scottish Premiership side
Leeds United midfielder Alfie McCalmont has linked with a loan move to Scottish Premiership side St. Mirren to reunite with his former boss Stephen Robinson.
The 22-year-old spent a successful season on loan last year with Robinson during his time at Morecambe, with the defensive-minded Northern Ireland international making 31 appearances for the Shrimps, netting once and finding himself two assists - including one for their only goal in a 3-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

He's also managed a goal and two assists in six appearances for the high-flying Whites Under-21s in the Premier League 2 Division 2 this season and it's understood they are keen for McCalmont to pick up more game time and a reunion with Robinson could certainly help that be on the cards.
With St. Mirren struggling with player budgets and two key players in Keanu Baccus and Ethan Erhahon potentially leaving during the January window, the Daily Record report that Robinson will look to past experiences as a way to sure up the central space of his side as they sit seventh in the SPFL.
Mateusz Klich facing Leeds United choice as MLS speculation continues
If reports coming from across the pond are to be believed, it seems Mateusz Klich’s time at Elland Road could be coming to an end. The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the MLS to link up with Wayne Rooney’s DC United and suggestions are that a deal is close to being finalised.
The move would see Klich bring an end to his five-and-a-half year stint in West Yorkshire, where he has played a key role in what has been one of the most memorable eras in the club’s rich history, helping to lift United back into the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa. As such, any departure would be an emotional one, both for Klich and the fans who hold him in such high regard.
Jesse Marsch gave little away when asked about the future of the Poland international following his winner against Elche last week. However, the head coach failed to rule out a potential departure and he alluded to conversations that have taken place between the respective parties.
Supercomputer reminds Leeds United of their task ahead of brutal Premier League return
Leeds United will be hoping to return to competitive action with a bang having had over a month away from the Premier League as a result of the World Cup-enforced break.
Jesse Marsch's men wrapped things up by being on both the right and wrong side of 4-3 score lines in their final two league matches prior to the break, beating Bournemouth at Elland Road before losing at Tottenham the following week. The matches also came either side of a 1-0 defeat at Wolves in the Carabao Cup.
The Whites sit 15th in the table after 14 matches and are just two points off of the relegation zone, meaning a fast return to action will be vital. Unfortunately, that return starts against none other than the reigning champions Manchester City on December 28.
