Leeds United fired 'organised' John Terry warning ahead of Leicester City clash
Leeds United have been told that John Terry's addition to Leicester City's coaching staff will make them tougher to break down due to his experience.
The Foxes travel to Elland Road tonight where the Whites have lost 5-1 and 6-1 in recent weeks, with both sides looking to extend the gap between them and the bottom three.
But BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks believes that despite Leicester's 2-1 win over fellow relegation rivals Wolves last weekend, Dean Smith's appointment makes little sense - although Terry being apart of his staff could give them the edge over Leeds.
"I'm still struggling with the departure of Brendan Rodgers from the King Power Stadium but Leicester fans tell me he had to go. OK, but to replace Rodgers with Dean Smith after his disappointing time at Norwich - what sort of appointment is that?
"What Smith has brought to the Leicester City dressing room, as part of his management team, is John Terry. The former England captain certainly knows everything you need to know about the art of defending and they will need every inch of his experience during their remaining games.
"Leicester made it difficult for Wolves and, I must admit, looked more organised."
Leeds United fans call on Javi Gracia to make SIX changes for crunch clash with Leicester City
Leeds United's upcoming clash with Leicester City is the definition of a relegation six-pointer - and fans would like to see Javi Gracia make six changes at Elland Road. The Whites have lost their last three Premier League fixtures, and have conceded 11 times in their previous two outings on home soil.
Leeds put in an improved defensive display in the capital on Saturday, only for mistakes to prove costly in the 2-1 loss to Fulham. Gracia's side remain a point above the relegation zone, but would be dragged further into the mire by a fourth straight defeat.
In contrast, the Foxes arrive at Elland Road in good spirits after securing a comeback win over rivals Wolves on Saturday. It was their first victory under interim boss Dean Smith, with the former Aston Villa boss urging his players to keep the home crowd 'quiet' on Tuesday night.
Inside Javi Gracia's Leeds United war cry as he bids to break 'vicious cycle'
Breaking the ‘vicious cycle’ Leeds United find themselves in is the biggest challenge Javi Gracia feels he faces right now. It’s been a tough few weeks at Elland Road, with the relatively strong start Gracia made to life in the role crumbling away on the back of three consecutive defeats.
A total of 11 goals were conceded in losses against Crystal Palace and Liverpool and the Whites were visibly short of confidence as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Fulham on Saturday afternoon. It’s been a damaging run of form, not only as it leaves them perched precariously on the edge of the relegation zone, on point clear of danger, but it seems to have had an effect mentally, too.
With just six Premier League games remaining, it’s clear that such a slump could not have come at a worse time. Gracia, though, insists he hasn’t seen a change in mentality from his players since he arrived at the club two months ago.
