Leeds United scouts seen eyeing up Benjamin Sesko summer swoop amid Salzburg win

Leeds United scouts were reportedly spotted eyeing up 19-year-old Benjamin Sesko's game-winning performance for Red Bull Salzburg against Rapid Wien over the weekend.

It's believed that the Whites weren't the only team from the Premier League however at the match to watch the star that has been dubbed 'the next Erling Haaland', with parties from Manchester United, Tottenham, West Ham, Wolves and Leicester all present.

The Slovenian international netted a seven-minute hattrick over the game's last 10 minutes, securing all three points in a 4-2 win and giving Salzburg a nine-point lead at the top of the table.

Despite Sesko's imminent transfer to Salzburg's sister club RB Leipzig in the summer, many teams still view him as a potential target for the future, including Leeds.

Lucas Radebe singles out Leeds United forward as being key in relegation battle

Lucas Radebe has singled out Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto for praise as he claimed the Whites "have a chance" of Premier League survival if they can start taking their chances.

Leeds have scored one goal in their last five games across all competitions, with their only strike in that time period coming in Javi Gracia's first game in charge - a 1-0 win over Southampton. Junior Firpo's first top-flight goal for the club made the difference against the Saints, but the Whites need their attacking players to start pulling their weight in front of goal.

Gnonto has already demonstrated in flashes just how dangerous he can be this season. A wonder-strike against Manchester United last month, his last goal for Leeds, was his second this term in 11 Premier League starts.

Leeds United ace Junior Firpo meets Dominican Republic coach to discuss 'national team project'

Leeds United star Junior Firpo has met with the Dominican Republic's national team coach Marcelo Neveleff to discuss a "new national team project".

Firpo, who was born in the Dominican Republic, grew up in Spain and has represented the Spanish U21s. Due to his place of birth, the full-back is still eligible to play for the Caribbean nation and now it appears that they are keen to involve the Premier League star in the next stage of the country's football progression.

Having scored the winning goal against Southampton - his first Premier League strike for the club - Firpo has quickly emerged as a key cog in Javi Gracia's team for the rest of the season. And despite the previous criticism of the footballing set-up in his home-nation, the Leeds star now appears central to their resurgence.
