Here are your Leeds United morning headlines for Sunday, January 29.
Leeds looking to sign Diogo Monteiro
After news broke on Saturday that Leeds are reportedly on the verge of signing Weston McKennie on an initial loan deal from Juventus, it appears the club are not done there.
The Athletic have reported that the Whites are also hoping to 'wrap up' a deal for Portuguese defender Diogo Monteiro ahead of the January deadline. The centre-back turned 18 on Saturday (January 25), allowing Leeds to submit a formal offer to bring him to the Premier League.

Although he would likely join the Under 21 squad initially, Monteiro has a bright future and will be eager to show why he deserves a spot in the first-team at Elland Road.
Moments missed during Accrington Stanley 1-3 Leeds United
Marsch’s touchline spat
In the 39th minute of the game, Liam Coyle went in high on Junior Firpo with his boot and took a yellow card for his troubles. It was a challenge which prompted a strong reaction from the technical areas.
Jesse Marsch went down the touchline and into the Accrington Stanley technical area to make his feelings known on the matter. Jimmy Bell, John Coleman’s long-time right-hand man, was only too happy to go face-to-face with the American and order him back to his own box.
Bell kept having pop after pop at Marsch, who began by trying to ignore the Accrington man, but ultimately failed to hold his tongue. He told Bell to shut his mouth.
Latest Leeds United injury news
Crysencio Summerville and Liam Cooper will return to full training this weekend, according to Leeds United coach Jesse Marsch. The pair have missed Leeds’ last three games in all competitions through injury, but it seems they could be set to come back into contention to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League next Sunday.
Cooper has been struggling with a minor knee issue and wasn’t risked against Accrington Stanley in the fourth round of the FA Cup, a game Leeds won 3-1 with Robin Koch and Max Wober continuing their partnership at the back. Summerville, on the other hand, picked up an ankle injury after a heavy tackle in the third round clash at Cardiff City and hasn’t been seen since.
However, it is hoped he can compete for a spot in Marsch’s side next weekend as the Whites go to the City Ground. United should be able to call on the services of Tyler Adams and Pascal Struijk, too, who both sat out of the clash at the Wham Stadium.
