Leeds 'join the race' to sign Senegal forward
Leeds have expressed an interest in Senegal forward Boulaye Dia, according to Italian outlet Tutto Salernitana. The Whites are set to face competition in the shape of fellow Premier League rivals Everton, West Ham and Leicester City.
Dia is currently on loan at Serie A outfit Salernitana but is reportedly available for a fee in the region of €12 million. He has registered six goals and two assists in 14 league outings in the Italian top-flight this term.

Predicted Leeds United line-up vs Real Sociedad as Aaronson, Adams and Kristensen start training
Three new faces returned to Leeds United’s training ground this week. Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams and Rasmus Kristensen are all understood to have commenced their preparations for the return of the Premier League after their World Cup exertions.
However, with barely a few days worth of training in their legs when Real Sociedad arrive at Elland Road it seems unlikely Jesse Marsch will thrust them straight into the fray. There should, though, still be changes to the line-up which started at Elche.
Illan Meslier is not expected to be back from his bout of glandular fever, though ears will be primed for the latest on the goalkeeper from the head coach post-match. Cody Drameh was fancied as a starter by Marsch in Spain before deciding on Luke Ayling.
David Silva, Old Trafford triumph, Isak - Real Sociedad lowdown ahead of Leeds United friendly
Leeds United step up their preparations for the return of the Premier League season with the visit of Real Sociedad on Friday night. The Whites edged out La Liga outfit Elche last week in their first match since the start of the World Cup break and they’ll be hoping for another stern test this week against the Basque outfit.
Sociedad will be the first of two teams to travel to Elland Road before Christmas, with an outing against French side Monaco arranged for Wednesday night, exactly a week before the competitive stuff gets underway once more. Jesse Marsch’s side won’t be at full strength on Friday night but the head coach will still hope to see a positive performance in front of a home crowd.
Here’s all you need to know about the Sociedad team travelling to West Yorkshire on Friday night.
