Leeds United still awaiting Marcelo Bielsa response after training ground request
Leeds United are still awaiting a response from former Whites' boss Marcelo Bielsa after they asked for permission to rename Thorp Arch after the Argentinian coach. Phil Hay has told a Q&A piece on The Athletic’s website the Whites's chiefs are yet to hear from Bielsa, who is still held in such high regard at the club.
Hay said: "As for the training ground, Leeds have written to him to ask for his permission to rename it after him. They’re waiting for a reply." Bielsa's legacy at Leeds needs no explanation after restoring the club's Premier League status after a 16-year absence.

The 67-year-old completely transformed the club and rewrote the book on how to win promotion from the Championship. Despite parting ways last season, the Whites board wanted to honour the work of the former head coach and believe renaming the training ground a fitting gesture.
Leeds United confirm 25-man Premier League squad
Leeds United have confirmed their 25-man squad for the first half of the Premier League campaign. There have been few surprises with the bulk of Jesse Marsch's squad picking itself.
However, Alfie McCalmont's inclusion acts as the only real surprise, with the 22-year-old unable to secure a loan move away from Elland Road in the summer following last season's stint at Morecambe. The likes of Joe Gelhardt, Crysencio Summerville, Sam Greenwood and Leo Hjelde do not need to be registered as part of the 25-man squad, given they're under 21 years of age.
The quartet have all been slowly integrated into the squad in the past 12 months, with them all expected to become first-team regulars at some point in the future. Unlike a number of other Premier League clubs, the Whites have not issued a statement regarding players' inclusions at the time of writing.

Victor Orta reportedly admirer of promising Championship manager
Leeds United sporting director Victor Orta is reportedly an admirer of Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe. That is according to Sky Sports commentator Gary Weaver, who made the claim live on air during Preston’s 1-1 draw with Burnley on Tuesday night at Deepdale.
Lowe is still very much in the early days of his management career but is clearly highly rated in the world of football given his rise up the Football League. His first job came in the dugout at Bury and in his first full season in charge, guided them to promotion from League Two.
Bury’s crippling financial issues, though, meant they were kicked out of the EFL and so upon Lowe’s exit from the club, he once again dropped down into League Two. Again, Lowe guided them to promotion in his first full season at the club.
Fresh potential problem emerges over rescheduling of Leeds United's trip to Man United
A fresh potential problem has emerged regarding the rescheduling of Leeds United’s trip to Manchester United. The Whites were due to face Erik ten Hag’s side on Sunday but have seen their second consecutive Premier League match postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Due to the unprecedented number of police needed in the build up to The Queen’s funeral on Monday, several members of the Greater Manchester force have been deployed elsewhere in the United Kingdom. Leeds’ home match with Man United in February was reportedly the most policed game in the Premier League last season and as a result, the GMP have deemed the game unable to go ahead.
However, in already hectic season of matches, the Premier League could be set to run into another problem when it comes to rescheduling the match. Should Man United finish either second or third in their Europa League group, they would have to play in either the UEL, or Conference League knockout round in February.

Leeds United sent £30m price demand over RB Salzburg midfielder
Leeds United have been reportedly linked to Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Noah Okafor but will have to pay upwards of £30m if they want his services.
Okafor is one of Europe's top young talents, shown by his goalscoring ability and natural passing skills. In 21 Austrian Bundesliga games last season, the 22-year-old found nine goals and nine assists.
He already has six goals and two assists in 11 games across all competitions so far this season including the opening goal in their Champions League group stage draw against AC Milan last week and is now of interest to Jesse Marsch's side.
